Overall, I’m incredibly grateful for the time I’ve spent at Edison College Canada. It’s a place that not only prepares you for a successful career but also helps you grow as an individual, the director and the teachers Ms. Theresa and Ms. Laura are so lovely and friendly. I would highly recommend this college to anyone seeking a holistic and enriching educational experience.
The Applied Arts Illustration program is one of the best I have attended. As a “mature” student, I have been able to dig deeper into illustrative techniques and methods, and focus on the work I want to do. I have gained the confidence to pursue a career in picture books as well as other areas I didn’t know about before. Adam Moore is a highly gifted instructor and illustrator, (as well as a great human being). His passion and experience is evident in every lesson and assignment. Since the course is an intensive, fast paced program, I suggest that you have the time to invest in order to get the most out of the program. Also, having the flexibility to attend in person and online was a huge advantage and very doable.
Initially I had some issues getting the required information for the 2D animation course, but once I met Racheal and booked a meeting with her the same day I got everything I needed to register. She explained things in a way that were easy and simple to follow, she talked about the future passionately and that got me very excited for what’s to come, big thanks to Racheal.
It is a good program to transition from my current career to a new job. I have been working as a healthcare aide for many years. It was a great choice for experience with Edison College. I met wonderful instructors during my lessons in each subject. There were some misunderstandings between students to instructors but it was nice to fix the problems. What I like most is that I have wonderful classmates helping each other. I have been learning from them because I have been dealing with the language barrier quite a bit, but I did it through with all of my classmates and instructors. Thank you for giving me the opportunity.
MLA Student here, the 8 month program is amazing! Only one month in and we have learned so much! The staff members are all amazing and very kind people. The small class sizes are also a bonus. The Oak street location is very convenient to get to whether you bus, or drive. Also, near the end of the program we will be doing a 6 week practicum at LifeLabs. I would highly recommend anyone who wants to get into the medical field to check out Edison College!
