Fine Arts Fundamentals

Description

Edison College Canada offers a Fine Arts Diploma (FA) in which students can explore their creativity through a broad range of studio and theoretical courses in a variety of media. This is a three-year program broken down to one year at a time which rewards students with a certificate upon completion of each year.

 

While working towards your three-year Diploma, you will earn this Certificate in FA Fundamentals upon successful completion of Year 1. This FA Fundamentals certificate has two terms and comprises 600 hours of instruction.

Requirements

• All students shall arrange for an interview with the President and present a portfolio if requested.
• Students under 19 yrs must have a minimum of Gr.12 and a copy of a high school diploma OR transcript.
• Mature students (over 19 yrs) must present a Government Issued photo ID.

The diploma requirement has two certificates: FA Fundamentals and FA Advanced, which are both pre-requisites for the third-year diploma. This final year has two terms and comprises 600 hours of instruction.

 

Students will be skilled in current and traditional practices in a variety of visual arts mediums and processes, which can include: Drawing, Painting, Design, Art History, Photography, Printmaking, Art Theory, and Sculpture.

Successful completion of Certificates in Fine Arts Fundamentals & Fine Arts Advanced at Edison College Canada OR an equivalent program.
