Naomi graduated as a Medical Laboratory Technologist from the British Columbia Institute of Technology. During her technology practicum, she also worked as a Medical Laboratory Assistant. She received the LifeLabs Clinical Excellence Award upon graduating from BCIT. 

Naomi has experience working in a variety of hospitals and lab departments, including Hematology, Chemistry, and Microbiology. She ventured into the education world several years ago and joined Edison College in 2022 as an MLA instructor.
